HSP-117 Hotel & Resort Management
An examination of practices and systems utilized in managing and operating today's modern lodging establishments. Topics covered include: front office operations, guest services, accounting, revenue management, sales and marketing, security and safety, and housekeeping as well as issues related to coordination with other departments such as food and beverage, human resources and facilities. Along with required site visits to local hotels and resorts, this course provides the student with insights into all of the departments within a full-service hotel and all of the procedures effective managers use to ensure success in operations.
