STEM Starter Academy
The STEM Starter Academy at BCC is a statewide Massachusetts Community College initiative designed to promote STEM fields of study. The program is geared toward high school seniors but is available to anyone who is interested in attending BCC and majoring in science, technology engineering or math. It features a summer success program and fall and spring support activities. Academic support, tutoring, career exploration, transition to college program, field trips, guest speakers, scholarships, and a STEM success kit will give students the tools they need to be STEM-ready in college and the workplace. Students interested in pursuing a certificate or associates degree in such STEM fields as Allied Health, Atmospheric Science, Biology/BioTech, Computer Information Science, Engineering, Environmental Science and Liberal Arts with a concentration in STEM studies are encouraged to apply.
