Personal Counseling

Personal Counseling provides students a safe and confidential setting to share their concerns and issues with a licensed professional counselor. We believe that seeking out support is a sign of strength and will help you refocus on your academic goals.

Although unique to each student, some of the more commonly addressed concerns are: adjustment to college, relationships, stress, depression, identity issues, and anxiety. At BCC, personal counseling is collaborative and utilizes a strength-based perspective. If additional support is needed, students are assisted in finding appropriate resources, on campus or in the community.

In addition, Personal Counseling offers educational events on relevant issues such as mental health, self-advocacy, emotional intelligence and healthy relationships. Additional resources are available at Personal Counseling at BCC.

Personal Counseling is located in the Student Support Center (A-118) in the Susan B. Anthony Building, across from the College Store. For more information, call 413-236-1609. Hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
