Graduates of this program should be able to:

1. The five (5) foundational courses per MassTransfer Pathways are CRJ-105, CRJ-109, CRJ-121, CRJ-127, CRJ-200. Students planning to continue their education at a Massachusetts state supported university are eligible for the Mass Transfer program. The Criminal Justice Transfer track option aligns transferability of all credits earned at BCC. Interested students may check the MA Department of Higher Education website for A2B degrees to view an updated list of baccalaureate institutions who partner with the BCC Criminal Justice program and review the transfer requirements. Upon successful completion of the requirements for this program, students earn an Associate in Science in Criminal Justice. It is highly recommended that students wishing to pursue the Criminal Justice MassTransfer Pathway meet with an academic advisor to select Math, Science, and Humanities courses.
2. Health/Fitness requirement is fulfilled by successful completion of CRJ-108.
3. Professional Elective chosen from CIS-102, CRJ-201, CRJ-219 HSV-135, SOC-136, SOC-208, SOC-212, SOC-216, SOC-228, SPA-101 or SPA-131. CRJ 219 is recommended.
4. Select one Gen-Ed Communications designated course.
5. Select six credits of Gen-Ed English Comp designated courses. ENG 116 is recommended as the second English Composition course.
6. Select one Gen-Ed Mathematics designated course. MAT-123 is recommended. Students wishing to transfer to a MA state supported university should follow the MassTransfer option. Consult with an academic advisor prior to selecting a math course.
7. Select six credits from Gen-Ed Humanities designated courses. Students wishing to transfer to a MA state supported university should consult with an academic advisor prior to selecting a humanities course.
8. Three credits of History/Government chosen from HIS-117, HIS-118, GOV-105, GOV-135 or HIS-225.
9. Select a three-credit Gen-Ed Environmental Study or Gen-Ed Natural Science designated course. Students wishing to transfer to a MA state supported university should follow the MassTransfer option and select a second Gen-Ed Natural Science (four credit lab). Consult with an academic advisor before making a course selection.
