PTA-110 Physical Therapist Assistant I
An introduction to the basic principles and applications of various physical therapy interventions. This course will explore the physiological effects and the evidence based research of biophysical agents, and the theory and purpose of assistive devices for mobility. Laboratory experiences will include application of biophysical agents and the use of assistive devices.
Prerequisite
Requisites: Take PTA-103 or PTA-100 - Must be completed prior to taking this course. Take PTA-102 - Must be completed prior to taking this course. Take BIO-201 - Must be completed prior to taking this course. Take PHY-111 or PHY-101 - Must be completed prior to taking this course. Take BIO-202 - Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course. Take PTA-115 - Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course. Take PTA-110L - Must be taken at the same time as this course.
