PTA-103 Introduction to Physical Therapy
An introduction to the philosophy, history, and practice of physical therapy. This course examines the professional relationships of the physical therapist assistant to the licensed physical therapist, and to other members of the health care team. Laboratory exercises include instruction in body mechanics, lifting techniques, basic patient care skills, and preparation of patient and treatment areas.
Corequisite
Requisites: Take BIO-201 - Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course. Take PHY-111 or PHY-101 - Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course. Take PTA-102 - Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course. Take PTA-103L - Must be taken at the same time as this course.
