MUS-106 Fundamentals of Music

A study of the fundamentals of musical language: pitch, intervals, scales, keys, rhythm, and basic triads. Basic keyboard, sightsinging, and ear training skills will also be studied, using examples from classical and popular music. Course outcomes include the ability to to read, play, and listen critically to music. no musical background is required.
