Disbursements
Financial aid funds, including loans and scholarships, are credited to the recipient's account at the College twice per semester, generally 30 days after the beginning of the semester and 60 days after the beginning of the semester. Financial aid can be applied to such college costs as tuition, fees, books, and health insurance.
Students are required to respond to their bills, even if payment is covered in full by financial aid. Non-response to a bill could result in cancellation of the student's registration.
Students with financial aid in excess of their total charges receive their first refund by electronic fund transfer (EFT) or mail approximately 45 days after the beginning of each semester and if an additional refund is owed, for example loan funds, 90 days after the start of the semester, and on a rolling basis thereafter as funds are received by the College.
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is the preferred disbursement method and fastest way to receive refunds owed. To set up EFT please visit BCC's Self-Service and log in with your MyBCC account info (this is your s# with a lower case "s". If you have trouble logging in, please fill out the Online Help Request Form). Once logged-in click on "Banking Information." You can then add, edit, or view your banking information here. It will take 24 hours for your new banking information to be verified.
