ECE-123 Early Childhood Education Practicum I
An opportunity to integrate child development theory with teaching practice in a child care, nursery school, or kindergarten setting. The students work with children and develop skills and self- assessment in all aspects of teaching. Students spend a minimum of 150 hours supervised by a lead teacher at the site. DEEC requires the following background checks for field placement: - National Sex Offender Registry - Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry - Department of Children and Families - Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information - Fingerprints for state and national criminal history (fee involved) Permission of instructor required.
