ENG-297V Special Topics in Literature: Contemporary American & British Fiction
An examination of selected novels and short stories written after 1960 by American and British writers. American writers to be studied may include Jane Smiley, Johnathan Dee, E. Annie Proulx, T. Coraghessan Boyle, Toni Cade Bambara, John Updike, Alice McDermott, E.L. Doctorow, and Anne Tyler; British writers may include Graham Swift, Doris Lessing, David Lodge, Fay Weldon and Kazuo Ishiguro.
Prerequisite
Six credits of composition or permission of the instructor.
