PTA-100 Introduction to Physical Therapy
An introduction to the philosophy, history, and practice of physical therapy. This course examines the relationship of the physical therapist assistant to the licensed physical therapist, and to other members of the health care team. Laboratory exercises include instruction in body mechanics, lifting techniques, basic patient care skills, and preparation of patient and treatment areas. Admission to PTA program required.
