NUR-106 LPN to RN Bridge
An introduction to the ADN Nurse of the Future Core Competencies, including nursing knowledge, therapeutic communication, safety, quality improvement, infomatics and technology. Development of critical thinking skills to collect and analyze complex data is discussed. The concepts of system-based practice and evidence-based practice are introduced along with the role of the nurse as a health care professional and leader with an emphasis on the developmental needs of patients. Basic assessment and psychomotor skills are reinforced. The role transition from LPN to ADN Nursing is emphasized. Current LPN licensure and admission into the nursing program required.
