PSY-297C Special Topics in Psychology: Research Methods
An advanced course designed to give students an understanding of the research process and provide a hands-on research experience. The course will familiarize students with survey, correlational, and experimental designs. In teams, students will identify an appropriate hypothesis, design a proposal, conduct a literature review, choose research measures, collect data, perform basic statistical analyses, and write a research report in APA style. At the end of the term, students will present their findings at a poster session for BCC students and faculty. Prerequisite: A 200-level psychology course;
PSY-204, 207, 210 or 226.
