ENG-101 Composition I
An introduction to expository writing and college-level research. This course focuses on the process of writing with an emphasis on thorough development of a mainpoint by using supporting ideas and evidence. In addition, students learn to locate and integrate information from secondary sources through summary, paraphrases, and direct quotation in various forms of thesis-based writing. This course also includes critical reading of essays and instruction in research and the responsible use of sources. Skills requisite: ENG 020 & ENG 090.
