BUS-216 Small Business Entrepreneur & Management

An examination of the entrepreneurial process and how to successfully operate a newly formed small business. Topics in this course include understanding the opportunity environment, determining the feasability of an opportunity and whether a business idea is woth pursuing, as well as planning for a career in entrepreneurship and small business management. This course will also explore the role of innovation in creating new or improved products, processes, or services. An overview of the business planning process will be presented and analyzed through case studies. Skills prerequisite: ENG 020 and ENG 090 Prerequisite or corequisite: BUS 107 or permission of the instructor.
