Community Engagement, Education and Workforce Development
The mission of the Community Engagement, Education & Workforce Development Division is to strengthen the quality of life and economic prosperity in the Berkshires through lifelong learning and community leadership. In order to accomplish this, we provide access to high quality educational opportunities for organizations and people of all ages from the Berkshires and beyond. Additionally, we work collaboratively with civic leaders and organizations to tackle regional challenges and cultivate opportunities in order to realize our vision of a thriving Berkshires.
BCC enrolls nearly 3,000 students annually in non-credit courses and workforce training programs. The Division of Community Engagement, Education and Workforce Development serves the regional needs of businesses while providing accessible and affordable training opportunities. The Division also participates in Berkshire County’s economic development through collaboration and participation in an active business and industry development team and the provision of corporate training. BCC works regularly with local companies in the pursuit of Workforce Training grants that will benefit their incumbent workforce and improve business processes.
