SPA-133 Spanish for the Workplace III
The third course in a sequence for those who will need to serve the needs of Spanish speakers in the workplace. Designed to enable students to communicate effectively in Spanish in the workplace. Presents vocabulary of specific usefulness in a variety of workplace situations and grammar of increasing complexity. Role-play, communicative activiities and analysis of instances of real-life situations in which they have used the language will help students hone production of spoken Spanish; work with authentic audio materials of native speakers from differnt Spanish-speaking countries help students improve aural comprehension. Students will also learn strategies for successful cross-cultureal communication. Prerequisite: SPA 132 or permission of the instructor.
