MAT-123 Elementary Statistics
A first course in statistics designed to introduce concepts such as the normal distribution, statistical inference, "Z" and "T" tests, as well as linear regression and correlation. Topics include probability, contingency tables, and analysis of variance. Applications from the real world and in various fields of study, as well as current technological tools, are emphasized. Skills prerequisite: ENG 020. Skills requisite:
ENG-090. Prerequisite: MAT 029, MAT 029C, MAT 136 or MAT 045. Students without
MAT-029 may take
MAT-043 as a corequisite.
