ENG-101 Composition I
An introduction to expository writing, critical reading, and college-level research. This course focuses on the process of writing with an emphasis on thorough development of a main point by using supporting ideas and evidence. In addition, students learn to locate, analyze, and integrate information from secondary sources through summary, paraphrases, and direct quotation in various forms of thesis-based writing. This course also includes critical reading of essays and instruction in research and the responsible use of sources.
