FAS-144 Digital Imaging with Photoshop

Covers the digital preparation of visual images for print publication, display, and use with the world wide web. Using Macintosh computers, students will work with Adobe Photoshop. Methods for processing and improving the quality of digital images for both screen and print applications will be covered. Digital imaging (including digital photography) will be discussed. The course will also cover procedures for retouching, restoring, modifying, creating, and rendering images. The preparation of files for a variety of internet and printing applications will be covered, as will methods for working with professional printing companies and newspapers. Macintosh computers/OS or Windows XP experience required.
